Description and Rules
- this is a distance measured event,
- record the number of participants correctly as we average the distance
- participant places handle of hammer in his palm and swings or rotates around to throw the hammer forward
- rotation cannot be more than once as the participant may get dizzy
- participant cannot step over line, if he does he must rethrow the hammer
- after all participants have thrown the hammer total up the distances and write the total in the space provided
- make sure there is no-one within 15 feet of the thrower as the hammer could fly in any direction
- measure from the starting line to where the hammer touched the ground
